Job description

We are currently working in partnership with an award-winning surveying consultancy who have been listed as a Times Top 100 company to work for in the UK, who are looking to appoint a Senior CDM Consultant on a permanent contract.

This will be a full-time position based in London, with hybrid working (2/3 days home working) and a salary of up to £65,000 dependant on experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience within management and would have worked within a similar multi-disciplinary consultancy.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Ensuring multiple team members and duty holders such as the client, designers, contractors and other internal multidisciplinary team members coordinate and cooperate with each other and check that relevant duties are complied with
  • Planning, managing, monitoring and coordinating pre-construction phases of projects to identify, eliminate, or control significant and foreseeable design risks
  • Working with the client to gather preconstruction information, assess the adequacy, identify gaps and provide advice on how they might be filled and distribute to those that need it
  • Attending Design Team Meetings, resolving design related health and safety issues
  • Carrying out regular CDM site audits and attending progress meetings

Experience required:

  • Experience managing a team
  • Experience of a diverse range of industry sectors desired, with a proven ability to meet Clients needs 
  • Extensive knowledge and experience within the Construction Industry, specifically around the CDM Regulations

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience within the Construction Industry, specifically around the CDM Regulations
  • Building Regulations and Fire safety knowledge is desirable

Working hours:

  • 37.5 hours per week
