Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Staffordshire, who are recruiting for a Scheme Manager on a temporary three month contract. The position is due to start immediately. The hourly rate of pay is £18.00 via an Umbrella company.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a scheme-based setting, hold an Enhanced DBS and have proven experience of Scheme Manger duties.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Responsible for the housing management service for an elderly client base (55+), ensuring that residents are provided with appropriate advice and options to maintain their tenancy

  • Carrying out visits across two schemes, one containing approximately 18 properties and the other around 26 properties

  • Conducting daily welfare calls and visits with tenants

  • Responsible for identifying and reporting repairs to the Door Entry System and Lifeline Systems

  • Responsible for carrying out Health and Safety checks within tenant properties and across the patch

  • Dealing with telephone and email enquires from all internal and external customers

  • Responding to pull cord alarms, also ensuring these are installed safety within tenants' properties

  • Working alongside external partners including GP's/doctors on behalf of customer

Experience required:

  • Supporting older or vulnerable residents and proven experience in supported housing scheme overseeing the day-to-day operations

  • Dealing with challenging behaviour, mental health issues, or dementia

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Ability to communicate clearly with older and vulnerable residents

  • Confidence dealing with sensitive or distressing situations

  • Knowledgeofadult safeguarding thresholds and procedures

  • Strong risk assessment and riskmanagement skills

Working hours:

  • 37.50 hours per week

  • Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm
