Repairs & Maintenance Surveyor
Job description
We are currently partnering with a housing association in the West Midlands, who are recruiting for a Repairs & Maintenance Surveyor to join their growing team on a permanent basis.
This is a full-time position with a salary band of £41,800 to £43,000 allowance (subject to experience) + £750 car and the start date is subject to notice.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Preparing repair specifications, schedules of work, or job tickets for contractors
Diagnosing damp and mould problems using diagnostic equipment and understanding causation and remedies
Carrying out inspections of buildings (reactive, planned, or cyclical) and diagnose building defects and identify required repairs
Assessing the condition of structures, roofs, plumbing, heating, electrical systems, and finishes
Undertaking day to day surveying on properties, scheduling repairs and maintaining good communication with customers and other key stakeholders
Carrying out surveys relating to mutual exchanges to customers' homes, completing reports and liaising with our colleagues in the locality team
Expertise required:
Experience required in Social Housing
Knowledge of Awaab's law
Experience of liaising with contractors
Have access to their own car and a full UK Driving Licence
Working hours:
37 hours per week
Monday - Friday
9am-5pm
