Job description
We are proud to be partnering with a reputable Social Housing provider in the West Midlands, who are looking for fourProject Surveyor's on six month temporary contracts.
This will be a full time position based in the West Midlands, the majority of the role will be out on patch. The daily rate is £275 to £300 per day via an umbrella company.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in Social Housing and be proficient in undertaking risk assessments under the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) and raising appropriate remedial actions.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Monitoring and reviewing performance and development of in-house and external surveying teams, addressing performance shortfalls and ensuring alignment with the survey programme
- Undertaking quality review audits on completed surveys, identifying gaps or non-compliances, and implementing remedial actions
- Conducting detailed stock condition surveys, defect analysis, feasibility studies, and dilapidation surveys as required
- Delivering survey workshops and one-to-one on-site training to address skills gaps, promote consistency, and support professional development across surveying teams
- Appraising and risk assessing hazards under the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) and Safeguarding framework, taking appropriate corrective actions
Experience required:
- Proven experience managing, mentoring, and performance-monitoring both in-house and external surveying teams, with the ability to address underperformance and maintain delivery standards across large survey programmes
- Strong background in undertaking quality assurance and audit processes for stock condition data, identifying gaps or non-compliance issues, and implementing effective corrective actions
- Demonstrable experience conducting comprehensive property surveys, including stock condition, defect diagnosis, feasibility assessments, and dilapidation surveys, within housing or asset management contexts
- Skilled in developing and delivering surveyor training, workshops, and on-site coaching to promote data consistency, professional growth, and continual service improvement
- Sound knowledge and practical application of the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) and Safeguarding principles, with experience in risk assessment and managing identified hazards
Working hours:
- 37 hours per week
- Monday - Friday
