Exciting Opportunity: Social Housing

Our client, a leading housing provider North London, is actively recruiting for a Payroll & Accounts Officer on a 12 month fixed term contract.

The position is due to start, subject to notice, in September / October, on a part time basis (28 hours per week), Monday to Friday. They are offering a salary of £26,826.50 per annum plus opportunity to earn up to 5% performance related pay.

Duties will include – but are not limited to:

  • Provide support and cover to the Finance Payroll Manager, including full payroll processes
  • Ensure adherence to the payroll timetable and process ad-hoc/emergency payroll payments when required
  • Maintain payroll confidentiality, ensuring all information is securely filed and compliant with data protection regulations
  • Support the processing and maintenance of pension data and records for the Group
  • Process petty cash and credit card returns in line with accounting deadlines, ensuring all receipts are complete and business-related
  • Post monthly petty cash and credit card journals within set deadlines and follow up on any late submissions
  • Distribute credit card statements and keep an updated master list of all cards, authorised users, and limits
  • Reconcile petty cash and credit card control accounts monthly, investigating and correcting discrepancies

Experience required:

  • Experience of running a in house payroll system
  • Experience dealing with all aspects of the payroll including deductions, pensions and statutory monthly and annual returns

Working hours:

  • 28 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday: (9:00am – 5:00pm or 8:00am – 4:00pm)
  • Hybrid working available in this role
