Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Hertfordshire, that are looking to appoint an Operations Manager on a temporary basis for 3 months.

This will be a full-time position based in Hertfordshire, with a negotiable rate.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a senior leadership role within a Housing Association. A Level 4 or equivalent CIH housing qualification is desirable. The candidate will also need an Enhanced DBS taken out within the last three years.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing a team of colleagues across the rented, supported and leasehold teams
  • Directly managing four Client Service Managers and one Housing Manager
  • Overseeing the housing management services across multiple patches
  • Ensuring services are delivered in line with organisational strategy, policies and regulatory standards
  • Effectively planning, managing and monitoring budgets of up to £5,000,000
  • Driving continuous improvement, efficiency and value for money across services

Experience required:

  • Experience of senior leadership within a Housing Association
  • A level 4 CIH or Higher
  • Solid understanding of housing legislation and compliance standards

  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Sound decision making and problem solving skills

Working hours:

  • Full Time
  • Predominantly remote based
