Job description
Our client, based in North London, is currently recruiting for a Building Safety Case Manager on a 3-month temporary contract.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.
The ideal candidate will have NEBOSH general and fire, and an IOSH qualification.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Responsible for ensuring that the building safety records are kept up to date, ensuring that change control properly takes safety into consideration and that all details are recorded, creating and reviewing the building safety cases
- Review content of all key building safety documents on production, challenging recommendations where necessary
- Act as the liaison with the regulatory agency/agencies and reporting incidents and escalations to the relevant person
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on matters of fire and building safety in relation to high-risk buildings maintaining the golden thread of information
- Maintaining detailed safety records, reports, and documentation
- Develop strong and effective relationships and promote building safety with staff to ensure that all activities contribute to improved resident safety.
- Monitoring changes in legislation and ensuring ongoing compliance
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current building safety legislation
Experience required:
- Experience required in Social Housing
- Experience dealing with high rise buildings
- Experience of dealing with building safety cases
- At least two years’ experience of Building Safety Manager role
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- Ability to manage change effectively
- Develop project plans involving others and prioritises work to ensure that key deadlines are met
- Communicates in a clear and understandable way, coming across to others as positive and approachable
