Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a reputable housing association based in South Yorkshire, who are recruiting for a Neighbourhood Officer on a permanent basis or Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2025.
The position is due to start immediately with the annual salary for the role being £33,545 per annum.
The ideal candidate will have a basic DBS certificate dated within the last 3 years, drive and have access to their own vehicle, with proven experience working as a Housing Officer.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Delivering an effective housing management service, including tenancy management, supporting residents to sustain their tenancy
Taking enforcement action when there are tenancy breaches
Supporting the delivery of an effective income collection
Conducting viewings, sign ups and other site visits as and when required
Supporting in providing an effective void, repairs and maintenance service
Overseeing cases of Anti-Social Behaviour from start to finish – investigating and resolving any issues
Forming detailed records and keeping systems up to date at all times
Experience required:
Experience required working in a front-line Housing Officer position
Experience working with vulnerable residents
Experience managing all aspects of tenancy management
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Knowledge of current housing legislation and regulations
Expertise in the tenancy start up process
Ability to manage own diary alongside a large case load
