Our client, based in Surrey, is currently recruiting for a Litigation Lawyer on a 3 month contract.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis but open to part time hours for the right candidate. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a local government setting and be able to travel to Surrey for court attendance.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Drafting & writing of legal documents

• Advising the council on policies and legal preparation

• Representing the council during advocacy in court

Experience required:

• Experience required in a Local Authority setting

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Teamworking skills

• Ability to work autonomously
