​We are currently working in partnership with a well-established public sector organisation in the West Midlands who are looking to appoint a Senior Project Lead on a 6-month contract, with strong potential for extension.
The position is offered on a hybrid basis, with a day rate of up to £350 (Inside IR35) and an immediate start available.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading complex digital or service innovation projects and be confident managing risk, governance, and stakeholder engagement across large programmes.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Leading the end-to-end delivery of large-scale digital, innovation or infrastructure projects

• Creating and managing detailed project plans, budgets, timelines and reporting documentation

• Working closely with sponsors, delivery teams and external suppliers to coordinate activity

• Leading or supporting procurement activity including tender specifications and supplier evaluations

• Owning risk and issue management across a portfolio of projects and promoting lessons learned

Experience required:

• Demonstrable experience leading complex projects within the public sector, infrastructure or regulated industries

• Experience managing budgets, risk, and multiple stakeholder relationships

• Familiarity with delivery methodologies such as Prince2, APM or Agile

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Excellent communication and reporting skills

• A proactive and delivery-focused approach

• Strong organisational, governance and risk management skills
