Location: Central Birmingham (2 days home working)
Working Model: Hybrid (with flexible arrangements available)
Salary: £52,462 - £60,842

 

We're working with a leading Education establishment on a key hire within their HR team as they look to appoint an Employee Relations Manager. This role will manage a team overseeing all employee relations casework, implement HR policies and procedures, and work closely with Trade Unions and staff representatives.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading on employee relations casework and Employment Tribunal matters for the organisation

  • Creating and delivering employee relations initiatives ensuring robust policies and best practice across the HR team

  • Managing and developing a team of Employee Relations Business Partners and Advisors

  • Developing and embedding HR standards and KPIs for effective casework management

  • Developing an ER case tracking system providing data, trend analyses, and actionable insights

  • Delivering training and development for line managers and staff on Employee Relations activities

  • Leading the assessment and preparation of Employment cases and representing the organisation with external lawyers and ACAS

  • Fostering constructive relationships with Trade Unions and staff representative groups

 

What You'll Need

  • Strong, dedicated experience in Employee Relations within a unionised environment

  • In-depth knowledge of Employment Law, consultation frameworks, and best practice HR policy

  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders across the business

  • An inclusive, collaborative, and proactive approach, with a passion for continuous improvement
