Job description
We are proud to be partnering with an reputable Housing Association based in Pembrokeshire, who are looking to appoint an Independent Living Officer on a 2-3 month contract.
This will be a full-time position based in Tenby, with a rate up to £20.00 umbrella for the right experience. A car and a DBS is required for this role.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting those over the age off 55+, however a general background in Housing Support, will also be considered.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Helping clients 55+ to sustain independent living within their property
- Checking fire doors and fire alarms on a weekly basis
- Liaising with extenral agencies
- Organisaing community activites to help engage clients
- Handling low level ASB complaints and montioring rent arrears
- Checking emergency pull cords
Experience required:
- Experience required in Social Housing
- Experience working with customers within housing
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- Risk assessment and management
- Enthusiasm and empathetic
- Good IT skills
Working hours:
- 35 hours per week
- Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm
