Our client, based in Essex, is currently recruiting for an Income Officer on a 6-month temporary contract.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with collecting rent accounts up to £3000, a working knowledge of the Orchard system and also have access to their own vehicle.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Managing around 500 previous and current rent accounts

• Setting up direct debit payments

• Chasing arrears up to the value of around £3000

• Serving NOSPs and NTQs

• Carrying out all rent processes up to but EXCLUDING appearing in court

• Proactively working to reduce arrears in your geographical area

• Providing advice on welfare benefits

Experience required:

• Experience required in Social Housing

• Experience working with the Orchard system

• Experience collecting arrears up to £3000

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Good time management and organisational skills

• Experience dealing with clients with complex needs

• Ability to work flexibly and respond quickly to changing demands, while meeting deadlines

• Experience of delivering high quality customer service

Working hours:

• 37.5 hours per week

• Monday – Friday, 08:30-17:00
