Job description
We are currently partnering with a well-respected council based in the Essex area who are recruiting for a Housing Officer to join their growing team on a 4-month temporary contract.
This is a full-time position with a negotiable hourly rate depending on experience.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of housing management and have a basic DBS taken out within the last 3 years.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Managing a patch of properties across the Essex region
Overseeing the re-letting of void properties
Dealing with low level to high ASB such as noise complaints and neighbour disputes
Managing the introductory tenancy process
Performing regular estate inspections
Reporting repairs
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Good organizational and time management skills
A thourough knowledge of lettings
Awareness of and ability to comply with health and safety legislation
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Excellent computer literacy
Working hours:
35 hours per week
Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
