Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a brilliant Housing Association, who are looking to appoint a Neighbourhood Manager on a 6-month contract.

This will be a full-time position based in Andover, with 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 08:30-17:00) and a competitive rate of £36.66 per hour via an umbrella company.

The ideal candidate will have experience leading housing teams, managing complex tenancy cases, and delivering high-quality housing management services. This role requires a proactive and strategic individual who can effectively lead staff, manage performance, and contribute to neighbourhood improvements.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Reporting directly to the Head of Housing and assisting in overall team management

  • Supporting and directing housing teams on complex and challenging cases

  • Monitoring staff performance, conducting appraisals, and leading regular meetings

  • Ensuring effective anti-social behaviour case management

  • Auditing and reviewing housing KPIs and ensuring compliance

  • Investigating and responding to complaints about service delivery

  • Leading on operational housing and tenancy management

  • Developing a risk-based approach to Neighbourhood Inspections

  • Working with stakeholders and local communities in a neighbourhood management team

  • Enhancing customer satisfaction by empowering the team to deliver innovative solutions

Experience required:

  • Strong experience in social housing

  • Proven leadership and team management capabilities

  • Background in tenancy and estate management

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Risk assessment and strategic planning

  • Performance and operational oversight

  • Knowledge of housing legislation and compliance standards

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week

  • Monday - Friday, 08:30-17:00
