Job description
Our client, based in Reading, is currently recruiting for a Homeownership Officer on a Permanent basis.
The start date will be during December. The salary for this position is £36,986.
The ideal candidate will be CIH or RPM qualified or committed to completing the qualification.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Managing a diverse leasehold portfolio, ensuring full compliance with lease covenants
- Leading on Section 20 and QLTA consultations, reviewing observations and ensuring statutory compliance
- Optimising income through effective service charge management, including setting, scrutiny, arrears recovery, and major works recharging
- Representing the organisation at the First Tier Tribunal, investigate subletting fraud, and work with residents’ associations on estate issues and planned maintenance
- Auditing service charge costs, liaise with finance teams, and resolve complaints and enquiries promptly and accurately
Experience required:
- Experience leading key leasehold processes such as section 20 and QLTA consultations
- Experience managing a leasehold portfolio
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office programmes including Excel
- Knowledge and experience of applying Commonhold and Leasehold law
Working hours:
- 37 hours a week
- Monday – Friday, 9 am – 5 pm
