Our client, based in Exeter is currently recruiting for a Head of Housing on a 12 month temporary contract.

The position is due to start in a few weeks time on a full-time basis. The daily rate is £358.34 on an umbrella basis.

The ideal candidate will have experience working across a wide range of disciplines including Housing Options, Allocations, Neighbourhood Management and Supported Housing.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Lead the management, development, performance and continuous improvement of all Housing services including, Housing Needs & Homelessness, Tenancy Services and Rent, and Private Sector Housing.

• Managing significant budgets
• Leading the delivery of a highly effective, legally compliant housing options service
• Providing management and leadership across the temporary accommodation team
• Be involved in high level eviction court cases
• Handling recruitment, staff training and disciplinaries when needed
• Developing policies and procedures across the Housing spectrum

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Educated to Degree Level or equivalent relevant to Housing
• Evidence of Continuing Personal and Professional Development (CPD)in relation to Housing Management Services
• Chartered membership of the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) or working towards CIH or other relevant profession body
• A minimum of foundation degree/Level 5 qualification in housing management.
