We are currently working in partnership with an award-winning Housing Association, who are looking to appoint a Gas Engineer on a permanent basis.

This will be a full-time position based in Portishead, the role comes with a van/fuel card and the annual salary is £40,041 per annum.

The ideal candidate will have experience carrying out gas servicing, breakdowns and repairs efficiently while in adherence with Gas Safe legislation.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Carrying out annual gas servicing, breakdowns and reactive repairs
• Completing Gas Safe certificates accurately and reporting defects
• Working in occupied properties and liaising directly with tenants
• Ensuring appointments are made and kept
• Participating in an out-of-hours standby rota for gas/plumbing emergencies
• Managing allocated vehicles, tools, stock and mobile devices
• Working independently or as part of a team and using your own initiative
• Attending and fully participating in training, 1-2-1s, toolbox talks and appraisals

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Full, clean UK driving licence
• Current CCN1, CPA1, CKR1, HTR1, WAT1, CEN gas qualifications
• Relevant City & Guilds or NVQ
• Demonstrating strong knowledge of Health & Safety and gas regulations
• Experience working in a customer-focused environment

Working hours:

• 37.5 hours per week
• Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm
