Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Poole, who are recruiting for a Financial Transactions Team Leader on a permanent basis. The position is due to start immediately. The salary on offer is between £30,576 - £33,033.
The ideal candidate will have experience of leading teams within a Finance department and have significant experience of ledgers and reconciliations. An intermediate Excel level is also required, with experience of VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
· Line manage a team of three Finance Assistants for Accounts Receivable and Payable
· Support the processing of rents and service charge payments onto the housing management system (Rubixx), as well as the sales ledger function and the recording of bank transactions on the finance system (Iplicit)
· Support the processing of a high volume of purchase invoices and the reconciliation of supplier statements
· Maintain the sales and purchase ledgers, including credit control and monitoring aged creditors
· Respond to and resolve queries from customers and suppliers
· Process weekly BACS payments to suppliers
· Assist with month end work relating to the sales and purchase ledger
· Identify and drive continuous improvement within transactional finance
· Get involved in projects related to transactional finance as they arise
· Perform additional duties that may be requested from time to time
· Act as a role model and represent the business professionally and positively in accordance with company values
· Put the customer at the heart of all that you do
· Work with colleagues and managers to deliver against the Strategic Plan
Experience required:
· Experience of line management
· Experience of ledgers and reconciliations
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
· Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUPs & Pivot Tables)
