Job description

 

Our client, based in Central London is currently recruiting for a Electrician on a 3 month temporary to permanent contract. 

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is between £27 - £33 per hour via umbrella and the permanent salary is £38,000 per annum. 

The role requires to possess trade qualification, issued by an accredited training association/body (City and Guilds, NVQ level 2).

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • To carry out the full range of electrical duties as required, including test and inspection, reactive maintenance, rewiring and installations for both maintenance and in respect of voids
  • Carry out all necessary administrative work, including keeping accurate and timely records (for Schedule of Rates) of all work from receiving jobs to completion
  • Communicate and work with other trades, providing technical advice and input as
  • required
  • Self-manage and check work as required
  • Ensure all work is carried out in a proper and thorough manner, taking into consideration Health and Safety requirements
  • Utilise extra skills to complete all repairs on first visit

Experience required:

  • Experience in social housing or be able to demonstrate experience of assessing trade jobs to then identify and implement solutions
  • The role requires to possess trade qualification, issued by an accredited training association/body (City and Guilds, NVQ level 2)

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Possess a broad range of skills to ensure the majority of response repairs are completed on first visit
  • Have excellent customer service skills
  • Have effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • You will have basic I.T skills and be able to operate a PDA system, view and record jobs and respond to emails
  • Hold a full, clean UK driving license
