Job description
Our client, based in Kent, is currently recruiting for a Deputy Service Manager on a 3-month rolling contract with the potential of extending.
The position is due to start in November on a full-time basis.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with learning disabled clients, hold an enhanced DBS taken out within the last three years and have experience working within a Supported Living service.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Conducting regular and meaningful supervisions and performance appraisals in line with organisational policy
- Coaching and mentoring new colleagues
- Working with healthcare professionals and external agencies to ensure that needs are met
- Supporting the Service Manager to increase and sustain the level of employee engagement
Experience required:
- Experience working in Supported Housing
- Experience working with learning disabled clients
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- The ability to work in a compassionate and empathetic manner
- Ability to respond well to challenging circumstances or behavior
Working hours:
- 37.5 hours per week
- 5 days a week
- Shift work, including some weekends and evenings
