Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Local Authority based in Devon, who are recruiting for a Customer Service Coordinator role on an initial two-month contract to cover sick leave.

The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to go full time. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable up to £17.11 via an Umbrella company.

The ideal candidate will previous experience liaising with the public, be able to travel to the office on a daily basis and have proven experience resolving customer queries/dealing with issues.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Answering calls from council residents relating to repairs, debt recovering and related issues
  • Providing administrative assistance including updating in house and Excel databases
  • Answering queries over the phone and via email
  • Updating and ensuring filing is in adherence with regulations

Experience required:

  • Experience required in public sector
  • Experience dealing with customer queries
  • Experience ensuring customers feel the call ended up with a positive outcome

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday, (08:30 -16:30)
