Job description
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a large Housing Association in Cheshire for an interim Contracts Manager.
This is a temporary, three-month position with a highly reputable Housing Association in Cheshire, offering a competitive hourly rate of up to £35.00 per hour via an Umbrella Company.
Key Duties Include:
- Overseeing contractors, consultants, and external partners to ensure work is delivered to agreed standards, timescales, and KPIs
- Leading regular progress meetings to drive performance, continuous improvement, and high customer satisfaction
- Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety legislation (including CDM) and quality procedures, including audits, pre-construction information, and risk assessments
- Engaging with tenants and leaseholders throughout planned programmes
- Managing procurement processes, including preparing briefs, specifications, tender documentation, analysis, and contractor mobilisation
- Communicating effectively with internal teams to keep them informed of works and ensuring installations are managed appropriately throughout their lifecycle
- Supporting grant funding applications and ensuring compliance with funding requirements
- Ensuring all projects meet minimum energy efficiency standards (PAS2035) and contribute to net zero carbon targets
- Managing and monitoring contract budgets, authorising valuations, agreeing variations, and completing post inspections and handovers of defect-free works
