We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire, who are recruiting for a Community Safety Officer on a temporary three-month contract. The position is due to start immediately and the hourly rate of pay is negotiable up to £28.00 via an Umbrella company.

The ideal candidate will have a basic DBS certificate, or be happy to have one carried out, drive and have access to their own vehicle, and have proven experience in roles dealing with ASB issues.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Resolving incidents anti-social behaviour and tenancy breaches

• Dealing with customers who may be in crisis, experiencing high levels of stress or suffering from mental ill health

• Working with police and local authorities to resolve ASB

• Knowledge of housing/tenancy legislation

• Excellent recording keeping skills and accurate data entry

• Ability to collaborate effectively with other teams and external agencies

Experience required:

• Experience required in Social Housing

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Confident handling of difficult conversations, including complaints and enforcement discussions

• Strong understanding of safeguarding adults and children

• Ability to assess risk and prioritise cases effectively

Working hours:

• 36.25 Hours per week

• Monday – Friday

• 8:45am – 5:00pm

• Home and patch based with the requirement to work in the office one day per week
