Business Systems Analyst
Location: Birmingham/ Hybrid
Salary:
£40,000 - £43,000

An established organisation is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to lead the development, support and optimisation of its core business systems.
This role is central to improving system performance, streamlining processes and ensuring digital solutions meet operational and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate business requirements into system enhancements and improvements.
  • Provide expert support for incidents, requests and troubleshooting across core systems.
  • Maintain, optimise and enhance key business platforms, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Analyse system issues and incident trends to implement corrective actions.
  • Design and document workflows, integrations and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with business improvement and operational teams to streamline services.
  • Ensure secure interfaces and maintain system authorisation controls.
  • Lead structured system changes, upgrades and vendor management.
  • Contribute to enterprise architecture planning and system roadmaps.
  • Produce clear reporting for senior leadership on system performance.

About You:

  • Strong experience in systems analysis, workflow development and technical support.
  • Background in complex operational environments.
  • Skilled in project management and working with enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman etc.).
  • Proven vendor and stakeholder management experience.
  • Solid consulting skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
  • Experience supporting and developing core business systems such as case management, document management or reporting tools.
