Job description
Our client, based in Worcestershire, is currently recruiting for a Sustainable Allocations & Lettings Officer on a 4-week temporary contract with the potential for extension.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis, offering hybrid working with 1-3 days working from home. The hourly rate is negotiable up to £20.00 per hour via an Umbrella Company based on experience for this position.
The ideal candidate will have experience working within a similar role and providing advice and guidance to housing applicants.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Delivering a customer-centric service
Ensuring the strict timescales for letting properties are maintained to meet void turnaround targets and to minimise the rent loss
Effectively maintaining records, advertising properties, liaising with partners and Registered Providers (RPs), shortlisting of applicants for allocation to strict timescales
Write reports and submissions that respond to requests for information and statistical data from various sources
Responsible for completing housing related debt checks
Responsible for creating new tenancies on the Housing Management System accurately and timely to ensure the legal obligations for both landlord and tenant can be carried out
Experience required:
Experience using a Choice Based Letting and Housing Management systems
Providing advice and managing vulnerable applicants
Up to date knowledge of current Housing legislation
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Working knowledge of using the Jigsaw system
Working hours:
37.5 hours per week
Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
