Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a charity based in Greenwich, who are recruiting for a Support Worker on a permanent contract.
The position is due to start as soon as next week. The rate of pay is £22.97 via an umbrella company.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in supported housing understanding the range of approaches needed towards ex-offenders and those struggling with complex needs.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Working with a caseload of up to 7 service users in supported housing properties
- Ensuring all casework is properly recorded and service offers & outcomes are entered into the CRM
- Actively collecting follow up information with regards to outcome and reconnections
- Dealing with immediate support needs of the residents as appropriate
- Assessing resident safety and developing risk management strategies with the resident and other services involved
Experience required:
- Working with clients in a trauma-informed way
- Using motivational interview techniques to produce and approach referrals
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- IT skills and particularly Microsoft Office packages
- Identifying and dealing with substance misuse
Working hours:
- 37.5 hours per week
- 7 day rota;
- Weekdays – 8AM – 4PM or 12PM – 8PM
- Weekend – 10AM – 6PM
