Job description
Our client, based in Enfield is currently recruiting for an Income Officer on an 12-month fixed term contract.
The start date is on notice and the salary rate is £35,425.
The ideal candidate will have experience working an Income Officer and have experience attending court.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Monitoring and managing rent accounts to ensure timely collection of rent and service charges
- Identifying and addressing arrears promptly using intervention strategies
- Maximising rental income by ensuring charges are correctly applied and recovered
- Escalating cases in line with policy, including referring to legal or eviction if necessary and attending court
- Providing financial guidance to tenants to help them with their tenancy
Experience required:
- Experience as an Income Officer
- Experience working with customers in social housing
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- Risk assessment and management
- Compliance and due diligence
- Ability to deal with people compassionately
- Can remain calm under pressure
Working hours:
- 1 day working from home per week
- Flexible working hours
- Monday - Friday
