Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a reputable Charity based in Manchester on a 3-month contract.

This will be a full-time position and a salary of £18.00 per hour umbrella.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with refugees and asylum seekers, helping them with supported living and advising on welfare and benefit advice.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Working with and supporting clients who are living in supported accommodation after receiving permanent leave to remain
  • Conducting assessments and sign up new tenants into our service
  • Supporting clients with Housing Benefit, Universal Credit, and welfare entitlements
  • Completing support plans and risk assessments tailored to each individual
  • Maintaining detailed records using our CRM and in-house systems
  • Teaching life skills and promote steps toward employment or training
  • Liaising with GPs, local authorities, housing services, and other agencies

 

Experience required:

  • Experience working with homeless client base or Asylum seekers
  • Understanding of Housing Benefit, Universal Credit and tenancy law

 

Working hours:

  • 35 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm
