Our client, based in Exeter, is currently recruiting for a Housing Manager on a 2–3-month temporary contract.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable, with an opportunity to earn up to £37 per hour, however, this will be negotiated based on experience for this position.

The ideal candidate will have experience working line managing housing teams, overseeing team performance and overall tenancy management. They will also have access to their own vehicle.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Hold responsibility for 5 x Housing Officers, 1 x Housing Assistants, 1 x Older Persons Property Support Officer, 1 X Housing Technical Assistant
• Ensure the implementation of the organisations strategic approach managing their neighbourhoods
• Maintain a positive relationship with tenants and other customers
• Manage, within a defined area, a comprehensive, high-performing housing management service (including tackling anti-social behaviour) to Council tenants and residents in temporary accommodation

Experience required:

• Experience required in Housing Management
• Experience managing a team of staff

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Risk assessment and management
• Financial management and budgeting
• Compliance and due diligence
