Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in North London, who are recruiting for a Repairs & Voids Manager on a fixed term contract until April 2026 at which point may become a permanent post. The salary is between £60,000 - £62,000 per annum dependent upon experience.
Due to the nature of the role it is essential candidates to have a drivers license and have extensive experience managing repairs and voids within a social housing environment.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Lead on operational contract management overseeing delivery of the service and continuous review of performance and services through comprehensive KPI and financial management
- Ensure that void works and repairs are delivered on time, to schedule and in accordance with contract requirements and quality standards to achieve high customer satisfaction
- Diagnose building repair issues and create specifications of remedial work, commission/tender works as required, plan works and manage contractors on site including stakeholder management
- Motivate, develop and lead a team of Surveyors in delivering well maintained and managed estates and properties
- Ensure invoices and variations are processed and approved on time and within agreed approval levels and budget parameters
- Ensuring continuous improvement in the team, department, and business to support delivery of the business plan, contractual regulatory requirements, and meeting KPI's
Experience required:
- Experience required in Social Housing
- Experience of managing a team
- Experience of working in partnership with contractors and internal teams
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- Demonstrate a track record in successful repairs contact management
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g. HNC RICS or CIOB
- Excellent knowledge of building construction, standards and legislation
