Job description

We are currently working with a leading Surveying practice that is recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor/Employers Agent on a permanent basis in their North London office.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The salary for this role is ranging from £40,000 - £70,000 depending on seniority.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within a surveying consultancy and have exposure working on social housing projects.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Preparing budget estimates, cost plans, cost checking procedures and tender documents as required

  • Completing tender return reviews and evaluations as necessary

  • Producing employers’ requirement documentation as well as JCT and development agreement documents

  • Formulating contract instructions, payment notices and certificates denoted by the relevant form of contract

  • Maintaining financial summaries for each project as directed and preparing monthly cost and cash flow reports

Experience required:

  • Experience within a multi-disciplinary consultancy

  • Ideally be chartered or working towards chartership

  • Worked on social housing projects

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Confident to work autonomously

  • Able to complete contract administration and monitor staff performance

  • Capacity to work under pressure and to deadlines
