We are currently working in partnership with a local Council based in Essex, who are looking to appoint a Private Sector Housing Manager on a permanent basis.

This will be a full-time position, offering around 4 days working from home a week, based in Colchester.

The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of private sector housing and good people focus.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Managing a team of 9, made up of Private Sector Housing Officers
• Developing and delivering the council’s private sector housing strategy
• Led on policies relating to housing standards, licensing, and enforcement
• Monitoring local housing conditions and identifying priority areas
• Managing budgets and allocating resources effectively
• Producing reports for senior management and elected members

Experience required:

• Knowledge of PSH
• Court experience

Working hours:

• 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday
• 1 day in the office a week
