Finance Assistant
Job description
We are currently supporting a well-known Trade & Regulatory body based in Southwest London who – after a system implementation – are looking to recruit for a Finance Assistant on a three-month interim basis.
This position is a three-month interim role- on a rolling basis so will have potential for extension! They are offering a generous hourly rate for this role.
Please note due to the interim nature of the role, the successful candidate will have used SAP Concur finance system – any applications who have not used the system won’t be shortlisted.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Accurately record and maintain membership-related expenses in the SAP system, ensuring all financial transactions are entered in a timely and precise manner
Review and verify receipts and supporting documentation to ensure all expenses are correctly recorded and reconciled in the accounting system
Match, batch, and code invoices according to company policies and accounting standards, maintaining accurate records for audit purposes
Proactively follow up with members regarding outstanding fees via phone and email, providing professional communication to ensure timelu collection and resolution of payment issues
Collaborate with the finance and membership teams to resolve discrepancies, improve processes, and support smooth financial operations
Maintain organised financial records and assist with reporting as needed to support management decision-making
Skills, knowledge and experience required:
Experience using SAP Concur – Essential
Experience working in a trade or regulatory body - Desirable
A strong understanding of the payables process within a finance function
The ability to work to deadlines and under pressure and hit the ground running
Ability to organise and prioritise work as well as work on own initiative
Working hours:
35 hours per week
Monday to Friday
Please note this role is on site every day for eight weeks, after this period it will move to three days on site two at home
