We are currently partnering a Metropolitan Borough Council in the West Midlands area, who are recruiting for a Planning Lawyer to join the team on a locum basis, for 3-months initially.

The role will be on a part-time basis for 2-days a week, and will offer fully remote working with attendance required at the monthly planning committee. The hourly rate is negotiable subject to PQE.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Providing advice and representing the Council’s planning functions in areas of Development Control and Planning Enforcement

• Handling a varied caseload predominately focused on Town and Country Planning matters

• Attending monthly Planning Committee meetings to give advice to members and officers

• Training members on probity and dealing with any member interest arising at committees

Working hours:

• 15 hours per week
