Job description

Our client, based in Middlesex, is currently recruiting for a Planned Project Manager on a 3-month temporary basis.

The position is due to start as soon as possible on a full-time basis. The rate for this position is negotiable depending on your experience.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Deliver planned improvement programmes for preventative and cyclical maintenance, keeping them on time and on budget
  • Manage fire remediation and other projects from start to finish
  • Keep accurate records of completed work and inspections. f Inspect work to make sure it meets building and health and safety regulations
  • Review risk assessments and method statements to make sure they’re up to standard.
  • Make sure all projects meet CDM regulations
  • Reconcile and settle final accounts and valuations, agreeing and paying interim valuations for major works, dealing with contractual disputes, extensions of time and variations and issuing relevant certification
  • Analyse financial information and manage the budget
  • Supervise inspections, liaising with consultants and making sure procedures are followed
  • Work closely with the Development team to resolve latent defect issues in newer buildings

Experience required:

  • Building maintenance, specifications, and using diagnostic techniques to support decisions
  • Managing fire remediation works, including legal and/or warranty claims
  • Supporting the implementation, procurement, delivery, and supervision of maintenance contracts
  • Construction standard suites of contracts - JCT
  • Managing contractors and consultants to successfully complete projects
  • Managing a project team, undertaking technical inspections, producing tender briefs, pricing documents, and managing projects, ideally in a social housing environment

  • Working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including building contractors, suppliers, consultants, health & safety specialists, and customers, and being proactive in sharing information to make the best use of time, effort, and people
  • Communicating clearly, concisely, and thoughtfully, verbally and in writing
