Job description
Our client, based in the East Midlands, is currently recruiting for a Planned Maintenance Surveyor on a two-month contract.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The rate is £250 - £300 per day via an umbrella company, depending upon experience.
The ideal candidate will have experience of leading planned and major works surveys within a social housing. They will require a full UK Driving Licence and have access to their own vehicle.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Managing programmes of work and individual projects from inception through the works process to completion
Attending regular contract meetings, pre and post inspections with customers and managing expenditure
Investigating and recommending material specification and preparing specifications and tenders for procurement in line with all associated regulation and internal procedures
Ensuring adherence to health & safety requirements generally and in particular around fire, water, asbestos management and CDM
Assisting in the identification and resolutions of complex repairs through planned maintenance project work
Completing 5-6 inspections per day
Answering and dealing with low level complaints
Experience & Skills required:
Experience required within a social housing setting
Experience of working on planned and capital works maintenance programmes
A strong background of conducting pre- and post-inspections on domestic properties
Knowledge in Health, Safety & Compliance
Working hours:
37 hours per week
Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
