We are currently working in partnership with an organisation who are looking to appoint a HR officer on a 3-month temporary basis with the potential for it to go permanent. Our client is a large, well respected public sector organisation that provides assistance to service users across the Worcestershire area.
This will be a full-time position based in Worcester, with hybrid working (1 day a week home working) and a salary of £26,421- £28,770.
The ideal candidate will have a CIPD L3 qualification, and have experience in advising managers on HR Policies and procedures.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Providing HR Guidance and support to managers in relation to HR policies and procedures
Advising and supporting managers in the monitoring and management of attendance e.g. redeployment, access to work, ill health, disciplinary and attendance management processes
Producing and discussing sickness absence monitoring reports with managers
Assisting in responding to all HR related queries via email, face to face or written in an accurate and timely way, referring to the HR Operations Manager
Acting as a central point of contact for managers and Occupational Health, including screening referrals and provide recommendations for implementation and attending case conferences as required
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Experience of advising managers on HR policies such as, maternity, paternity, special leave, performance management, absence management, disciplinaries, grievances
Evidence of developing good relationships with managers and offering proactive solutions, spelling out options, risks and considerations
Good administrative and organisational skills and an ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload with conflicting priorities and tight deadlines
37.5 hours per week
Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
