We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Essex, who are recruiting for a Housing Officer on a temporary two-month contract. The position is due to start immediately. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable based on previous experience.
The ideal candidate will have used the Northgate system previously, be happy to have an enhanced DBS carried out, drive and have access to their own vehicle, and have proven experience of Housing Officer duties.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Providing support to existing Housing Officers across Essex
Dealing with low level ASB such as noise complaints and neighbour disputes
Providing all aspects of tenancy management including sign-ups and viewings
Handling successions and mutual exchanges
Performing regular estate inspections
Recovering rent arrears
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Good time management and organisational skills
Experience dealing with clients with complex needs
Ability to work flexibly and respond quickly to changing demands, while meeting deadlines
Experience of delivering high quality customer service
Ability to build positive relationships with residents and to involve them in service delivery
37 hours per week
Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
