Job description
Our client, based in the South West, is currently recruiting for a Health and Safety Advisor on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.
The position is due to start immediately, with a salary of £45,000 per annum. This is a remote role, with all mileage to site covered.
The ideal candidate will hold a NEBOSH, have strong working knowledge of health and safety legislation, and experience working within construction or property services environments. A full driving licence and the ability to travel between sites are essential for this role.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Providing expert advice on health and safety management across construction and property-related activities
Ensuring compliance with the Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations 2015
Supporting managers in developing and implementing health and safety strategy, policies, and procedures
Undertaking audits, inspections, and risk assessments across live projects and repair sites
Investigating incidents and accidents, producing comprehensive reports and recommendations
Delivering bespoke health and safety training sessions to staff and contractors
Liaising with external bodies such as the HSE, Fire Authorities, and Insurers to ensure compliance and best practice
Producing and maintaining health and safety statistics, reports, and dashboards
Experience required:
Significant experience advising on construction health and safety and carrying out site inspections
Experience of CDM Regulations, particularly Principal Contractor/Designer roles
Experience managing or advising on health and safety within a medium or large organisation
Experience developing and maintaining health and safety management systems (e.g. ISO 45001)
Experience producing detailed reports and contributing to policy and procedure development
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Comprehensive understanding of health and safety legislation and compliance requirements
Strong report writing and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple projects
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management systems

Full-time, 37 hours per week
Monday - Friday, with flexibility required for occasional out-of-hours work
