Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a housing association, who are looking to appoint a District Heating Manager on a permanent basis.
This will be a full-time position based in Yorkshire, with hybrid working and a salary of £54,000 per annum.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of working within a mechanically biased Building Services role.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Creating the future strategy to deliver the organisations vision for cost effective and sustainable heating across heat networks
Liaising with consultants to secure the necessary funding to execute the agreed strategy
Providing technical expertise, leadership and guidance to the organisation in relation to the district heating systems
Overseeing the technical specification, contract management, and delivery of optimisation works, obtaining third-party verification
Reviewing the sustainability credentials of district heating systems, together with any proposed changes to the system
Managing all associated funding bids, with support from contractor/consultants
Taking ownership of a system-wide options appraisal report that has been set-up to review all sustainable and cost-effective options
Managing tendering of contracts to third parties
Experience & Skills required:
Operational experience working on district heating systems
Degree-qualified Chartered Engineer, HNC/HND or equivalent
Proven track record of problem solving and fault finding
Strong knowledge of CDM and Health & Safety
Working hours:
35 hours per week
Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm
