Job description
We are proud to be partnering with a Housing Association based in the East Midlands, who are looking to appoint a Disrepair Surveyor on a temporary basis. This is a full-time position with an hourly rate of up to £34 per hour on an Umbrella basis.
The ideal candidate will have experience completing disrepair inspections within social housing tenanted properties and hold a full UK Driving License.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Completing Disrepair Inspections
Raising Schedule of Works
Holding responsibility for the surveying and managing of the works process of the damp and mould services
Managing an end-to-end service for the damp and mould works, from surveying of customer’s homes, arranging required works and post works quality inspections
Diagnosing causes of potential damp, mould, as well as condensation and the required rectification works
Accurately recording all findings and required works, using a reporting tool, carrying out full assessments
Reporting findings to allow required works to be undertaken
Instructing and managing the identified works within their financial sign-off, both utilising the internal repairs team and specialist contractors as required
Ensuring works have been completed and a resolution of the damp/mould has been identified
Experience required:
Experience required in Social Housing
Experience completing disrepair inspections
Experience working with customers within housing
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Risk assessment and management
Compliance and due diligence
Working hours:
37 hours per week
Monday – Friday, 8am-4pm
