Job description
We are currently partnering with a reputable Local Authority, based in the West Midlands, who are recruiting for a Damp & Mould Surveyor to join their busy team on a temporary basis for three months.

This is a full-time position with a rate of £35.00 per hour on an umbrella basis and the position is due to start as soon as possible.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Assisting the line manager with disrepair claims due to an increased workload
Leading on the resolution to damp and mould issues within social housing properties
Visiting effected properties in order to undertake an initial inspection and to diagnose the severity of the issues
Diagnosing defects, creating a schedule of works and reporting based on findings
Liaising with contractors to ensure the identified defects have been repaired to the required standard
Supervising contractors, ensuring that works are completed on time, within budget and making sure tenant satisfaction is high
Experience required:
HNC, HND, BTEC HND or higher, in a building discipline or relevant experience and training
Be an experienced Surveyor within damp and mould inspections
Track record of delivering excellent customer service
Demonstrable experience working in reactive maintenance, diagnosing & ordering reactive repairs
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Have a great understanding of housing and property customer service with an excellent knowledge of building and housing regulations and legislation
Ability to communicate clearly and accurately with a wide range of internal and external customers
Must of previously worked effectively with and supported colleagues to help achieve team objectives
Working hours:
37 hours per week
Hybrid working, three days on site, one in the office and one at home
Monday – Friday
