Job description

Our client, based in Essex, is currently recruiting for a Fire Contracts Manager on a 6 month temporary contract.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The daily rate for this role is £350 - £400 per day dependent on experience

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in fire safety works, particularly fire door and related asset management. 

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Lead the management of fire safety works, with a particular focus on fire door replacement and installation contracts
  • Work alongside the in-house Principal Designer and Fire Engineer to ensure works are delivered to the highest standards of safety and compliance
  • Oversee contractor performance, progress, and quality of delivery
  • Maintain excellent communication with residents and stakeholders, ensuring customer satisfaction throughout
  • Carry out and oversee surveys, demonstrating technical competency in fire safety surveying
  • Monitor compliance through compliance system (C365)
  • Ensure contract administration and records are maintained within the NEC Housing system
  • Report on progress, budgets, risks, and performance as required.

Experience required:

  • Proven experience in fire safety works, particularly fire door and related asset management
  • Strong background in contract management within a housing or property context

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Demonstrable competency in carrying out and reviewing surveys
  • Ability to manage contractors and ensure works meet compliance and quality standards
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
