Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Local Authority in based in Swindon, who are recruiting for a Compliance Manager (Electrical) on an initial 5-month contract.

The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to go full time. The daily rate of pay is negotiable up to £600 via an Umbrella company.

The ideal candidate will have proven programme management experience, strong contractor management and excellent communication skills.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing a local authority's EICR programme and associated remedial works
  • Overseeing project planning and work distribution, including reviewing contractor performance, tenant communication and data management
  • Providing assurance to senior leaders and embed a safety-first culture among the compliance team
  • Establishing risk-based prioritisation alongside client teams, including high-risk blocks and overdue work
  • Overseeing procurement of new contractors in line with local authority principles and values
  • Managing multiple contracts including review of KPIs and SLAs
  • Overseeing financial management and forecasting
  • Maintaining a robust governance framework including audits trails and decision logs
  • Producing dashboards and reporting packs for senior management

Experience required:

  • Experience delivering an EICR programmes
  • Experience overseeing both contractors and subcontractors
  • Experience in Contract Administration

Working hours:

  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday, Flexible Start/Finish Times
