Job description
We are currently working in partnership with one of our Local Government clients, who are looking for a fully remote locum Contracts & Procurement Solicitor on an initial 3-month contract. The position is due to start immediately, and the hourly rate of pay is negotiable depending on PQE.
The ideal candidate will team player who can handle a complex caseload with minimal supervision, and must be qualified.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Dealing with a range of commercial issues including contracts and agreements, complex procurements, alternative delivery structures, innovative approaches to service delivery and projects
- Advising on, drafting and reviewing, commercial contracts, funding agreements and other legal documents
- Partnering with the business to advise on the legal implications of their activity
- Providing an effective legal service in relation to all contracts, procurement and commercial matters including a good working knowledge of EU procurement legislation and advising on subsidy control
Experience required:
- Experience required in Local Government
