Job description
Our client, based in Skelmersdale and Ormskirk is recruiting for an interim Asset Surveyor on a six-month basis.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate for this role is circa £33.00 per hour via an Umbrella Company.
The ideal candidate will have experience working within Social Housing overseeing planned works projects including kitchens, bathrooms, doors and cyclical works.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Preparing priced schedules of work for planned projects, including kitchens, bathrooms, windows, and doors
Liaising with contractors to arrange works and undertaking post inspections to ensure specifications and value for money are met
Creating technical specifications, drawings, estimates, and Bills of Quantities for quotations, tenders, budgeting, and investment planning
Assisting with the preparation, letting, and supervision of responsive and planned maintenance contracts
Developing project briefs, specifications, and consultation options to ensure projects are cost-effective, suitable, and delivered smoothly with minimal variations
Diagnosing complex repair issues, recommending solutions, ordering works, certifying completion, and monitoring budgets and progress for capital works programmes
Conducting site surveys to assess property conditions and support capital investment planning
Candidate Requirements:
HNC or HND qualification in a relevant field
A solid understanding of HHSRS
A full driving license
Working hours:
37 hours per week
Monday - Friday, flexible start/finish times
