Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Local Authority covering Skelmersdale and Ormskirk, who are recruiting for an Asset Manager on a permanent basis.

This is a full time, employed position and the client is happy to wait for notice periods. The salary for the role is up to £49,000 dependent on experience.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience overseeing Asset Management programmes, energy performance and Stock Condition data.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Supporting the Asset Strategy & Investment Manager in developing and reviewing the Asset Management Strategy

  • Managing a team of three Stock Condition and EPC Surveyors delivering survey, validation, and inspection programmes to maintain accurate asset data

  • Leading on the development of data systems and management processes that support the delivery and governance of the Asset Management Strategy

  • Maintaining accurate records of the Council's housing stock and investment programmes

  • Assessing stock acquisition and disposal opportunities to ensure decisions are transparent and data-led

  • Identifying and applying for potential funding opportunities to support investment and improvement projects

Experience required:

  • Experience overseeing Stock Condition/Energy performance assessments

  • Experience delivering long-term asset management programmes

  • Experience with stock acquisition/disposal

  • Experience overseeing asset programmes

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week

  • Monday - Friday, Flexible Start/Finish Times

  • Post training - Home working will be available
