We are currently working in partnership with a Local Authority in Devon, who are recruiting for an Asset Support Officer on a temporary six-month contract. The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to go full time. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable up to £19.55.

The ideal candidate will have experience scheduling surveys, uploading documentation and will be immediately available.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Coordinating and scheduling asbestos surveys, re-inspections, removals, and remedial works, working closely with specialist contractors and internal teams
• Planning and monitoring M&E compliance works, including electrical testing, gas safety, fire systems, lifts, water hygiene, and other statutory inspections
• Maintaining accurate records of asbestos registers, survey reports, certificates, and M&E compliance data within asset and housing management systems
• Tracking works orders and programmes, monitoring contractor performance, and following up on overdue inspections or remedial actions
• Acting as a point of contact for contractors, colleagues, and residents, providing clear communication regarding asbestos works and M&E servicing

Experience required:

• Experience required in Social Housing
• Experience working with customers within housing
• Experience coordinating repairs/surveys 

Working hours:

• 37 hours per week
• Monday - Friday, 08:30am-17:30pm
