We are currently working in partnership with a Local Authority based in Cardiff, who are recruiting for a Voids Team Leader on a 7-month contract.

The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to go full time. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable up to £30 via an Umbrella company.

The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing a team of trades, experience in both Carpentry and Plumbing and have a proven track record of turning around void properties.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Managing the Council’s voids maintenance service and adaptations works to support independent living

• Monitoring staff performance, overseeing 2 Technical Officers (Surveyors) and a DLO of 20 Trades staff

• Overseeing subcontractors completing carpet installs/replacements within void properties

• Inspecting all completed works and provide recommendations/specifications for remedial works required

• Completing Surveys for works as and when required

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Experience leading a team completing works within domestic properties

• Ability to manage contracts, ideally within a void property setting

• Full UK driving licence
